Next opportunity coming up Sept. 13-19th
UPCOMING DATES:
Dec. 6-12th
Four times a year PUMC volunteers take a turn among an interfaith network of congregations and local civic clubs to provide dinner each night for a week to families who are between homes.
Fort Bend Family Promise (FBFP) helps families develop a plan to attain safe, affordable housing and develop the confidence and skills they need to achieve long-term independence. FBFP also assists hundreds of other individuals each year through referrals and partnerships with other local social service agencies and resources. FBFP has decided to house families temporarily in what they are calling “static housing” to the benefit the families.
We thank all of our volunteers for their generosity and time in delivering the meals. Water, paper plates, and utensils will be delivered separately.
Thank you for the meals prepared and delivered May 17th-21st
Thank you so much for the delicious meals you prepared and delivered for the Family Promise guests May 17th -21st. Your kindness goes far beyond providing nutrition; it provides a sense of home and belonging to those navigating tough times.
Knowing that a community cares enough to share their time and talent means the world to these families. We are so grateful for your hands and your hearts.
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me." — Matthew 25:35
